Preventative Services A Hygiene appointment at Saratoga Smiles is your entry to "The Dental Spa Experience." The gentle massage chairs have optional heat for your back, therapeutic warm neck wraps are placed and relaxing aroma therapy is subtly used. A complimentary paraffin treatment for your hands is offered - all while you have your teeth cleaned. The hygienists at Saratoga Smiles have leading edge technology and skills such as Piezon™ ultrasonics and air polishing. Since periodontal health is the foundation for a beautiful smile, our anesthesia licensed hygienists are trained in non-surgical periodontal disease control, including the placement of Arestin - an antibiotic to treat deeper pockets below the gums. Patients receive individualized instruction in homecare with recommendations for optimal oral health. Saratoga Smiles provides supplemental products for homecare such as the Sonicare™ Ultrasonic toothbrush, Waterpik™, Prevident™ prescription strength fluoride toothpaste and other items for the hygienist to introduce to patients depending on their individual needs.
